Our Mission

Baseline Consulting Group provides the people, tools, methods, vision, and, above all, the experience necessary to help companies make their strategic objectives a reality through information. Our success is measured by the success of our customers – and only our customers.

Our Guiding Principles

Baseline provides advisory and delivery services which help our clients evolve their data management practices and data integration capabilities, thus enabling IT as the strategic information partner with business. To do this, Baseline applies a handful of core principles to every engagement:

• Business-driven
• Business and IT alignment
• Practical and actionable recommendations
• Tailored business, data, and technical solutions
• Success measurement
• Your self-sufficiency

Our History

Founded in 1991, Baseline has built its reputation on helping companies achieve their business goals through the deployment of leading-edge information technologies. Industry luminaries like American Express, Wells Fargo, The Limited, Verizon, and AARP have retained Baseline to help deploy high-impact IT solutions.

In 1997, the firm launched a business advisory consulting practice to complement its market leadership in IT implementation and integration. This practice enables Baseline to offer industry-specific expertise and executive-level thought leadership to its clients. Business Discovery, Business Requirements Gathering, and Project Post-mortem services have since become staples in the firm’s services repertory.

In 2001, Baseline formed parent company Baseline Holdings to manage the various consulting practices, research activities, and external courseware offerings. The firm also manages Baseline People LLC—acquired in 2001—which provides staff augmentation and recruiting services for technical contracting, and IT staff and executive placement. Baseline Holdings was granted WMBE (Woman and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise) Certification by the State of California, entitling Baseline to bid on federal, state, and local government opportunities with WMBE-certified status.

Today, executives, vendors, and analysts have recognized and recommended Baseline as the go-to firm for IT implementation and integration projects. Baseline is in the vanguard of services firms for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) , Business Intelligence (BI), Master Data Management (MDM), and Customer Data Integration (CDI), offering skills in a range of industries, subject areas, and vendor toolsets.

The firm’s executives and staff are also acknowledged industry thought-leaders, and speak and publish extensively on a variety of current IT and business topics. The combination of Baseline’s staff expertise, structured methods, and industry visibility can help your company take ideas from inception to deployment.
